For me, it's always been about the story I'm telling. Originally I was a dancer with dreams of Broadway. And sure, musicals are full of singing and dancing, but really it's the story that drives the passion behind every ballad and every high kick. Then one day my knees called it quits and I was told I had to hand in my dancing shoes.

Still determined to fill my life with story telling, I figured I'd take matters into my own hands and move towards acting. And falling in love with it happened very quickly. I studied under Justin Lehmann, of Justin Lehmann Studio, then full time at 16th Street Actors Studio and a summer intensive at The Maggie Flanigan Studio in New York City. One day I was asked why I love acting and my answer was, as it has always been, I love stories and I want to be a part of the story process in any way possible.

Which got me thinking – why wait to tell other peoples' stories when I can make my own? Not wanting to turn my back on my pursuit of an acting career, I decided to start small, with a diploma in filmmaking at SAE on the side. It only took a few weeks to realise I was hooked. So I'm hanging around for another 18 months for the bachelor, to learn everything I can about this craft that brings so much more to my love of the arts.
